17 days tour Beijing-Xian-Tibet-Kunming-

Day 1 Beijing (D)
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of the Peoples Republic of China. Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your deluxe hotel.

Day 2 Beijing (BLD)
Morning tour to Tiananmen Square, located in the heart of the capital, and the Imperial Palace, known as the Forbidden City - one of the greatest feats of ancient Chinese architecture. Afternoon sightseeing includes Summer Palace - a former summer resort area of the royal family. Welcome Peking Duck Dinner in the evening.


Day 3 Beijing (BLD)
Full day excursion to the Great Wall - the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labor - the only man-made construction on earth visible from outer space. After lunch, a drive to the Ming Tombs along the Sacred Way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty, and have Hutong Tour by Rickshaw.


Day 4 Bejing-Xian (BLD)
Take morning flight to Xian, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of the Silk Road. City tour begins with the ancient City Wall, which was built in 1370 A.D. Afternoon visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built in 652 A.D. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures which were obtained from India by the eminent monk of Xuanzang, and Shaanxi History Museum, a grand complex of pavilions built in the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty.

Day 5 Xian (BLD)
Full day excursion to the unparalleled highlight Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor in China. Added highlights are a visit to the Huaqing Hot Spring - a former resort area especially for the emperors and the royal family and a visit to Banpo Village - the remains of a Neolithic village dating back 6,000 years. Primitive tools and household utensils are displayed in the Banpo Museum.


Day 6 Xian-Lhasa (BLD)
Fly to Lhasa in the morning. Driving along the highest river in the world-Yar Long Tsangpo River for 1.5 hours to Lhasa. Photo stop at the stone Buddha at Nethang. Afternoon is a complete rest for acclimatization.

Day 7 Lhasa (BLD)
Sightseeing includes Potala Palace, which was first built in the 7th century by the famous Tibetan king - Songtsen Gampo and became known as the "Winter Palace" by the 1750s. The Potala is divided into Red Palace and White Palace. The red palace was for religious usage and the white one for political usage. Then visit Jokhang Temple, which was built in the mid 7th century by King Songtsen Gampo. Jokhang Temple is situated in the old section of Lhasa and is the most sacred place in Tibet. Afternoon visit to Barkhor Street, which is known as "Window of Tibet". It is a big free market and a "must" for tourists.

Day 8 Lhasa (BLD)
Today you will drive to visit the magnificent Yamdrok Yumtso Lake. "Yamdrok Yumtso" means "Turquoise Lake" in Tibetan. It is one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet. And then drive back to Lhasa, visit the Sera Monastery, one of the greatest monasteries of Tibet. In Sera Monastery, the Buddhism Scriptures Debating is very famous, and it is held every afternoon.

Day 9 Lhasa-Kunming (BLD)
After breakfast, take flight to Kunming. Our tour guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the deluxe hotel for check in. At the rest of the day, you will visit the Stone Forest which is 89km east of Kunming and a 90 minute bus ride will take you there. You can appreciate not only the karst mountains, rivers, forests and caves, but also the local folklore of the Yi, Zhuang, Miao and Yao ethnic groups. Later, have a leisure stroll at the Birds Market.

Day 10 Kunming-Dali (BLD)
Fly to Dali in the morning. Upon arrival, visit the Three Pagodas, and tour to Erhai Lake by boat. Spending balance of the day exploring Dali Old Town.

Day 11 Dali-Lijiang (BLD)
After breakfast, drive to Lijiang. Stop en route for an up-close visit to Xizhou, a well-preserved Bai National Ethnic Minority village with traditional architecture and friendly people. Afterward tour to Zhoucheng village to explore Bai-style houses and laneways that are paved with flagstone. Upon arrival, visit the Black Dragon Pool where you will get fantastic view of the Snow Nountain. Also visit Lijiang Old Town, which is charming with its cobblestone streets, wooden buildings and flowing canals.

Day 12 Lijiang (BLD)
Tour to Baisha village to look at the amazing murals and visit Dr. Ho’s Naxi medicine clinic. Also stop by Dr. Joseph Rock’s Old Residence, which is now converted to a small museum and photo gallery. Afterwards, visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountains, named because the 5000-meter (16667 feet) high mountains are in the shape of a dragon, and are covered with snow year-round. Take the chairlift to a large meadow. You will be greeted by a stunning view of the Snow Mountains and probably by a group of Naxi women enthusiastically waving at you.


Day 13 Lijiang- Shangri-la (BLD)
After breakfast, head to Shangri-La. En route, you will stop to see the famous Tiger Leaping Gorge and First Bend of the Yangtze River. You will also visit the Stone Drum Town, a vital military place in history. Arrive in Shangri-La in the late afternoon and transfer to your deluxe hotel to have a rest.

Day 14 Shangri-La (BLD)
Full day tour to the tranquil Bita Lake located in 35 kilometers East of Shangri-la Old Town. Then continue a walk to the Shudu Lake. On the way back to Shangri-La, you will stop to visit the Songzanlin Monastery.


Day 15 Shangri-La- Kunming- Shanghai (BLD)
After breakfast, fly to Kunming, and then fly to Shanghai, the bustling commercial heart of China, known as "Paris of the East". You will meet the guide at the airport and check in your deluxe hotel. Then, stroll along the lively waterfront "The Bund" - the old colonial sector, which is home to a myriad of European-styled buildings that face the Huangpu River.

Day 16 Shanghai (BLD)
Full day sightseeing includes the Temple of the Jade Buddha where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha are treasured, the fascinating Yuyuan Garden, a classical and elegant garden in Shanghai, as well as Shanghai Museum, one of the largest museums in China built in 1952.


Day 17 Depart Shanghai (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, check out and transfer to the airport. Your fascinating journey comes to an end as you board your international flight home.
